Former Insurance Defense Lawyer. Now Fighting for Injury Victims.
Jason’s experience gives Kramer Injury Law LLC clients a rare and powerful advantage.
Jason Friedl is a battle-tested Chicago trial attorney with more than 25 years of experience litigating cases across the country and on appeal. Before representing injured people, Jason spent 17 years in the trenches of the insurance defense industry, defending major corporations and insurance companies in high-stakes personal injury litigation.
During that time, he represented companies and insurers such as Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Target, Levy Restaurants, Cubby Bear, Chicago White Sox, United Fire & Casualty, AIG, and CNA. His work required him to defend complex liability claims every day, developing the same strategies insurance companies and corporate defendants use to limit payouts and defeat injury claims.
Because he spent nearly two decades inside the defense world, Jason understands exactly how insurance companies evaluate cases; how defense lawyers prepare them; and, vitally, where the defense strategies break down. He uses that knowledge to anticipate defense tactics, expose weaknesses in corporate defenses, and position your case for the strongest possible result.
Eight years ago, Jason made the decision to leave the defense side and fight for injured people instead. Since then, he has represented plaintiffs at highly respected Chicago trial firms including the Law Offices of Daniel Goodman and Romanucci & Blandin, LLC. During that time, he helped clients to litigate complex injury cases that produced multi-million-dollar recoveries and successful trial outcomes, including matters that received significant public and media attention.
Today, Jason represents victims in a wide range of serious personal injury cases. He also developed a focused practice helping survivors of violent crime pursue civil accountability against those whose negligence allowed the crimes to occur. Jason has significant niche experience in negligent security and sexual abuse litigation, representing victims of shootings, assaults, and sexual abuse where property owners, businesses, or institutions failed to provide reasonable security measures despite foreseeable risks. These cases often require aggressive litigation against powerful defendants. Jason brings the experience, strategy, and resolve necessary to pursue justice for survivors.
Jason has seen just about every issue one can imagine on the personal injury litigation battlefield. He approaches every case with the perspective of a lawyer who has seen how the defense operates from the inside, proving time and again he knows how to beat them at their own game while successfully representing plaintiffs in need of able counsel. After seventeen years defending corporations, Jason now uses that knowledge to help you hold your defendants accountable.
